14u Shield Maidens Win Gold in McGregor Cup

The 14u Shield Maidens were in Cornwall for their third event of the season, the McGregor Cup. These ladies were fresh off a silver medal win in their Challenge Cup. They finished pool play in first place with wins over the Vikings Sigrun and Cornwall Vikings Vanir. They faced another home town team the Cornwall Vikings Aesir in the quarter finals, and won 25-22 and 25-6 moving them to the semi finals where they faced Mission Volleyball and pulled off another win 25-16 and 25-8 putting them in the gold medal game. The girls came out on fire against the Pumas in the final, and finished them 25-21 and 25-15 to come home with GOLD! This earns them a promotion to Championship division for their Bugarski Cup tournament. Congrats to all athletes and coaches. GO VIKINGS!!
